Each April NFEC holds its Annual Earth Day 5K Run and Walk to benefit local students by raising money for our scholarship fund. We are postponing the event until later in the year due to health concerns, but we’d like to encourage you to continue to appreciate all that the natural world has to offer by taking a walk, taking a picture. We will then share with all on our NFEC Facebook Page. Sometime between now and the end of April and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day we are asking you to make a $10 entry fee donation on the NFEC webpage which will go toward our scholarship fund. Then submit a photo that you’ve taken while walking outdoors. Just send to our email address office@nfec1.org along with your name and any kind of title, description, quote, location, etc. We’d love to share your experiences and will post as a tribute to the North Fork environment on our Facebook page. In these challenging times, it’s good to know that nature can heal, nature can restore and also act to bring us together! Take a Walk, Take a Picture…
